Absolutely brilliant. I was honestly a bit nervous about buying and reading this because there are so many myths about birth control that are often spread by right-wing activists, and I wasn’t familiar with the author or her previous work. But this book is wonderfully and accessibly written while also being heavily grounded in evidence and in scientific explanations of why certain research is very important but also not necessary conclusive. All-around a great read and will absolutely recommend to others.

2.5… Authors tone was pretty belittling and cringe, which made it hard to get through at times. Also worth mentioning that it’s pretty strictly binary, which I understand to an extent ig but with a drug that’s used for so many other purposes than to prevent pregnancy, feel like that’s a major flaw

I started this on audiobook, it was very dense and honestly made me feel really sad and out of control of my own body. This topic is so important but I just couldn’t get through it
