Juicy slice of life. Funny, sad, odd and fizzing with shrugs.

Very Bukowski, which makes it hard to rate. Certainly art in the sense that it's pure expression; other people could mimic the style on the surface, but this came from that man's soul. Which is ultimately very depressing, so despite the vileness I mostly just felt sad.

The “every-man” novel elevated by my own personal affinity towards the monotony of postal work, it’s more dated features slightly detract from what would otherwise be a deeply impactful story following the empty years of life.
