I had some reservations about Dannie and Aaron at the end, but I am glad it ended the way it did. Not sure how I feel about the very very end with Dr. Shaw but overall this was a nice quick read.  Definitely a tear jerker so have some tissues at hand. I could never leave the life that Dannie and David do, absolutely atrocious work life balance.

I wouldn’t call this a love story at all. I would call this a convoluted drama with an unsatisfactory ending. I think this book had a lot more to say about friendship than it did about romance but even so it was almost unbearably tragic.
