Let me start by saying that I loved the balance that this book has. There is a romance, mystery, calm and quiet moments, and suspense. I will say however, I don't think I was fully immersed into the story until almost half way through, if I had to guess probably because it was unrelatable to me and the plot really didn't thicken until then. Although, I really enjoyed it the longer it went on. The amount of Shakespeare and dramatization of the characters, and how much they feel things, is unfamiliar to me. I do think though that it is meant to make you feel this way. everyday people don't operate in this way. So there is a trance like attraction to it. Overall, I really enjoyed the book as well as the ending!

Loved the writing and the way the story was told. I was a little bit bored with the plays they were acting and characters were very pretentious. However that ending although predictable still has me tearing up

An absolutely delicious setting but somewhat predictable plot twists; I do enjoy
a more open-ended conclusion in which the reader is invited to speculate
