The characters were very diverse and out of all the main characters there was really only one that I didn't like (Matthias, he was kinda annoying) but I still found it interesting to see his point of view. I loved the way the backstories were explored for each character although sometimes it is "interrupting" the plot (or the present) in order to tell a backstory in form of a flashback or memory (I personally liked this but I can understand if it might bother someone else).
I also liked how unpredictable the plot/outcome was because a lot of the time you don't even know what the characters intend to do (so you don't even know what the "ideal" plan is and therefore you can't really predict what might go wrong).

I absolutely LOVED this book. The worldbuilding is great, the characters are interesting, the dialogue is both intriguing and fun, and the pacing of the plot is incredible. I can't wait to read the second book in the duology and find out what happens to our Crows!

Knowing this was a YA book, I was sceptical if I would enjoy it or not, but i ended up loving it.
I haven't read the Grisha series written before this one so the beginning of the book was slow and difficult. It was taking my brain a good minute to wrap itself around the new terminology and places and characters etc.
Don't be afraid to read the first few chapters slowly to fully digest everything, the pacing does pick up once we've got a better idea of who are main characters are.

The Six of Crows are a fantastic group who shouldn't work in theory, but ended up working really well together and I loved seeing their friendship grow while they risked their lives together. The plot is amazing, the writing is amazing, the characters are amazing. Can't wait to get started with the next book :)

I really liked this book, much more than the shadow and bones books.
Though as the previous ones, it took a while for me to really get into. If I didn't it would have gotten 5 stars.

Once I got inyo it, it was really hard to put it down for me. We got different POV's(which was a bit confusing at first), and everyone actually had their own unique backstories and personalities.
Can't wait to read the next one. Probably tomorrow.
