I haven’t ever read a bad book by Rebekah, and this convinced me to seek out more poly romances! I felt some of the character development and motivations to be uneven, but the setup was inventive and had gravitas without gratuitous suffering.

Definitely will read again. Gorgeous. Polyamory and BDSM are super new to me. I really loved the way Weatherspoon balanced and developed their relationship, healing from trauma(s), chosen family and finding love.

This is pretty intense.
And it's not only intense because of the sex.

This story deals with some intense emotions. Brooklyn, Vaughn and Shaw are dealing with some very big, very suffocating and very isolating feelings.

Instead of being lost to them, they get lost in eachother.

I am backtracking to the other 2 stories in this series because I need more than just this standalone.

3.5 stars. This has a lot of the things I like about Rebekah Weatherspoon’s romances - interesting and relatable characters, hot sex, strong friendships and found family. But the relationship development was lacking, at least for me.

The characters spent a lot of time thinking about their feelings for each other and talking about them and also acting on them by having a lot sex, but I felt like the book skipped over how the feelings actually developed into love.

This is the last in the trilogy but it worked as a stand-alone for me. I don’t like romantic suspense and I’d say this book isn’t really RS - there is a horrific crime but it was committed and solved before the book starts.
