This book was the first I had read by Eden O'Neill and her Court series, which began when these characters were in high school. Although I don't feel it was essential to have read all the previous books, I personally would have preferred to have more background. That being said, it did not detract from an enjoyable read with a hella HEA at the end. Ramses and Brielle were an adorable couple, and Ramses made a perfect boyfriend in this age-gap tale. Kudos to the author for making the age-gap more than a few years. Excellent suspense added to this tale of growing up for more than one person in the story. Whether you have read the series or not, you can enjoy this story from Eden O'Neill.
TITLE: Lover
GENRE: New Adult Romance
AUTHOR: Eden O'Neil
TROPE: Taboo, Student Professor, Age Gap Romance
TYPE: Series (Court University Book 4)
POV: Dual POV
MY RATING: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ / 5
Lover is Ramses and Brielle's story and the final part of the Court University Series. It is a reverse age gap, Bri is in her 30s and a University Professor, and Ramses is still in his 20s. I admit I liked Ramses more in the first Court High series better, but I guess his issues from his past made him a bit too eager to please, and I wanted more backbone from him. Lover was an OK read for me, and I am on the fence, neither loving nor hating it, which makes it a 3 / 5-star rating, in my opinion.

Stefanie Kay and Michael Gallagher were phenomenal in this book, they brought so much life to Bri and Ramses. Lover is a beautifully told story of the beginning of The Mallick's relationship. Their story just captures you from the very beginning, there is so much hope and heartbreak for both of them. This is a must read if you have read the Court Legacy books.

Lover is the 4th and final book in the Court University series. This book is told by Ramses and Bri. This book has so much going on in it! A student/teacher relationship, an age gap, and forbidden romance.
Ramses meets Bri at his best friend's wedding when she's at the top of a high dive. They have one night together but end up separating ways.
Both have gone through things and both have a way of helping the other. However, with a secret relationship, things are bound to come to light. Their pasts come back up as well. This book was a great end to the series, and I really loved getting to know Ramses and Bri!
