It was hard to pick it up at first, I kept reading because I trust Elizabeth Kostova. 
I was not disappointed, she wrote a beautiful story but it was really hard to connect with the characters at the beginning. 

Still, a beautiful book, totally worth it, just keep reading if you are struggling. 

Elizabeth Kostova is a wonderful writer, love her books, and I really enjoyed learning so much of Bulgaria's history.

DNF... I gave up at page 190.

I LOVED the Historian so I thought I’d try this book as well but it is so boring and the plot makes absolutely no sense.

A woman accidentally steals an urn from strangers after taking their picture and then her taxi driver decides to go an adventure around the country with her? WHAT?!

Epic read.  I loved how the author kept me engaged.  I didnt know thru the whole book how everyone would end up & It flowed wonderfully.   Great writing.
