Excellent conclusion to this duology! I had a very hard time putting this book down!
This might even be 2.5 stars. I enjoyed the first book. The setting was awesome and the romance was pretty good if a bit instalove-y. I would have forgiven that had their relationship developed in this sequel. It did not. They just fought the whole time and kept secrets from each other. I was not rooting for them to stay together.
The FMC kept falling into traps and the climax was watching her dad’s brilliant plan unfold to take down the villain. She did nothing. This was unsatisfying.

I know I said I wasn’t gonna finish this book in one sitting but Adrienne Young is just too good.
I liked this book a lot more than the first one, I love Fable and how everything in her story tied together, plus it was a nice thing that the book actually has a plot and it doesn’t just revolve around the romance.
I would 100% recommend this book to anyone just start it early in the day because you’re likely not gonna be able to put it down.

I’ve been meaning to read this for a long while. So glad I finally got around to it!! I thoroughly enjoyed this book and it picked up right where Fable left off. The ending was beautiful, but I wish there was more to the character’s story!
an incredible end to the duology. this book truly has everything, and was a fitting sequel to the excellent first- a very difficult thing to do. highly recommend, but you definitely need to read the first book to understand this story.
