I really enjoyed reading this book. I liked the story premise and how it was set. the writing style was very engaging. It discussed about loss, grief and love without overcompensating the other.
This was my first book by Boo Walker and it was a brilliant read.

Thank You Netgalley,Boo Walker and the publisher for giving me the opportunity to read and review the book.

I would give this a 4.5/5. For me, the .5 only comes out because at times it felt like the book just moved a little slow. The story was absolutely adorable, I never felt as though anything was rushed. The love story between Claire and Whitaker was adorable. But seeing them blossom when Oliver came into their lives was beautiful. This book also really makes me want to live on a beach in Florida somewhere, where I could walk the beach every single day without a care. But overall, super cute book. Made me really happy to read.

I really enjoyed a lot of this book but the whole premise of her husband keeping his relationship with “Orlando” a complete secret for a year was just too unbelievable for me. Also maybe Claire needs to work on some anger issues? How many times did she pound the table or her leg to make a point?!

I found this story to be just "ok" all around. The characters, the storyline, the writing, the narrative were all just ok. I used to live in the area and we still own a home in the area, and I do feel he did a better job with the setting. It was fun to have some of our real life local spots mentioned in the book.

The most ironic thing to me was that the story was about writing a phenomenal, top selling book, when this actual book was just a notch above mediocre. The ending was so predictable and about as corny as you can get. I did like how the author highlighted the foster care system with both the cons and pros. I feel the author had good subject matter, but his execution was poor.

This book is about two broken people and their journey of loss to love and healing. The description of St. Petersburg, Florida really set the scene in this book, you could feel the sun and surf from the pages.
A heartwarming read.
