THE SWEETEST BOOK EVER! omg i loved it. the cutest and sweetest story, i just ate it up! avery was so very relatable and brooks was a SWEETHEART! i’m dying i loved every second

This was absolutely adorable and a pitch perfect summer YA romance with STRONG Dirty Dancing vibes! I LOVED this one a LOT!! Avery and her sister are dragged to a family resort for a device free summer. While there Avery meets and falls for the off-limits staff member Brooks, who is also in a band (conveniently enough for wannabe singer Avery). Avery is used to being a people pleaser and going along with what her parents want but this summer she learns to stand up for her own dreams, embracing her love for music and Brooks. Highly recommend this if you want a sweet YA summer love story. For fans of You have a match by Emma Lord or the upcoming Rise to the sun by Leah Johnson.

Such a cute book! It made me feel happy and swoony.

Kasie West is always reliable. You know what you’re going to get exactly what you want and expect every time. I enjoyed the sister relationship in this one.

Adorable, sweet HS love story. Cute, (predictable) but a nice happy story!

Dirty Dancing…only take out the dancing and make it a rock band in this young adult romance.

Loved this book but i wish there was more!! I love the dynamic that all the characters had together. Any stranger things fans reading, i pictured brooks to look like eddie munson.

Love Kasie West books!

Summer camp for two months without WiFi. An attractive musician. A “no fraternizing with the guests” rule. A young girl who’s always done the right thing, ready to break out of the safety of her shell.

It’s reminiscent of Dirty Dancing, but remove the abortion storyline and replace dancing with a music festival, and you have Sunkissed.

When Avery suggests lyrics for Brooks’ song, they start a writing partnership. And when Brooks’ band mate and lead singer can’t perform, Avery fills in.

Brooks learns what it means to have hope. Avery learns what it means to be brave. Together they may have something really special for the music festival. If only they don’t get caught fraternizing.
