Kasie West books are a hit or miss for me. This one wasn't bad but I didn't love it. I really enjoyed the character growth in this. I think the singing was a great way to show that growth. It even showed the character opening up more and realizing things that she didn't think about like her sister's vlogging thing. She didn't think it was as huge as it actually was until she started noticing more things around her. I think the love interest and her were pretty cute, as well.

- I had a good time reading this. It was serious but not overly so. It was enjoyable and thought provoking but not depressing. I really like Kasie West's books because I think the fill the space of fluffy-sweet- but-not-stupid that used to be more present in YA that has recently all but disappeared in favor of more serious/heavy stories.
- I enjoyed the development between her and mmc, but I also really enjoyed how much the book centered around her-- her journey to stand on her own and come into herself with who she is and how she allows people( dad, sister, and best friend) to see her and also how she wants to handle the new relationships that she starts and the old relationship that exists before. Her journey with singing and writing was fun to watch and it felt like I was rooting for friend as she chose to move forward and take her risks
I love a good fluffy Kasie West book and this one didn't disappoint!
Pretty good. Cute but not anything special. Definitely YA and even a little too young feeling for me to really love it.

This book was adorable and it was the perfect vacation read! I thought the remote camp setting was so fun and I loved how Brooks and Avery met. I also enjoyed how light and fluffy it was while also diving into topics that were a bit heavier. The music festival was a great subplot and I enjoyed watching Avery break out of her shell. I loved this little contemporary read and definitely enjoyed it!

A light, sweet and funny story that at first sounds like a simple love story, but ends up being more about self-discovery than romance. As with all Kasie West books, the author takes her time developing the protagonist and the tender feelings between her, in this case Avery, and her romantic counterpart. A sweet and enjoyable read.
