An audible read because Teddy Hamilton is the narrator that turned out to be a super cute romcom. Nothing deep here, just some antics as set up for interaction and drama plus a funny meet cute that equals hallmark romcom. But with spice and an MMC who has a bit of a mouth on him which is really nice in Teddy Hamilton’s voice.

I really didn't enjoy this book very much. Aside from some nice banter between the eventual lovers thete just wasn't anything interesting about this. The characters were a lot too hip and successful for my taste. Even though more serious topics were mentioned, to me it seemed like not much else than lip service. And in my opinion that's actually a disservice for topics like mental health, depression and anxiety.

This is a fun, cute, and fast read. The meet cute was definitely cute and promising. There are funny banters and moments but I feel like I don't see much chemistry between the two main characters. I also find some dialogues a bit cringey.

The ending felt rushed for me. I wanted to see what happened to Callie after she threatened Milo. I felt like that is a better conflict that Milo and Veronica's “break up”. I wish we knew what happened but instead we have a random POV if Veronica's cat. This book is just okay though.

The Virgin Next Door by Lauren Blakely is the first book in The Dating Games series with loads of fun inner-monologues, shameless flirting and lots and lots of a smexy times. Milo and Veronica’s romantic tale starts off with a chance encounter and funny nickname giving, and turns into a full blown love story rivaling Romeo and Juliet minus the darker themes and unhappy ending. What you’ll get out of this romantic comedy is;

❤️virgin heroine with a delightfully smart mouth
❤️endearing hero with a slightly broken heart
❤️lots of spicy scenes
❤️boss-employee relationship
❤️two lovable pups and one not-so-evil cat
❤️happily ever after

The Virgin Next Door is a quick read that will give you lots of smiles and positive vibes. Definitely a one-click!

Right now it’s not working for me.  A little too slow.  But I wouldn’t mind picking it up later.
