Die Story der Radleys ist ziemlich unspektakulär und geradlinig. Sie wirkt wie einer der ersten Vampirromane, aber auf gut-bürgerlich. Familie mit zwei Kindern, die zufällig Vampire sind, aber ganz unauffällig in einer Kleinstadt wohnen und ihre unangenehme Vergangenheit verbergen. So viel mehr passiert fast nicht. Dafür ist der Schreibstil irgendwie schön, schnörkellos und passend zu diesem Vorortfrieden. Toll gelesen und mit ulkig-klischeehafter Musik untermalt. Der etwas andere Vampirroman.
