Cameron Aladdin Gordon! At 15 years old, he finds the need to help a family of some of the boys he coaches baseball to. He comes over and helps around the house after they lose a parent. Even though the sister of the boys says that she doesn't need him there. He cares so deeply for them and in all of this he falls in love with Lucy the boys sister. His little book worm. ♡ He finds out she's making herself sick because she so sad. He gets her to stop. And took care of her and loved her for all she is. He helped her deal with her grief. Lucy. ♡ book worm. she carries the weight of her family on her shoulders when she first meets cam. But with the help from him she gets her life back. They help he dad get back on his feet. and through the years they date and soon they're off to college at UNC. Cam goes on scholarship with the help.of lucy's dad. life goes on and gets in the way in many different ways. loss and triumphs. and all.

I loved this book. It kinda struck me hard. Since I've been through the loss of cancer with my mother. :-( It's no fun. I felt such a connection to Lucy and her loss. but also in how much she loves books and swearing!!! I love her. but I so swooned with cam!!! lord that guy. he has my heart. well not completely Dylan has it the most. But anyways. These books just reach In and tug on your heart strings. Go Jay go!

the evolution of their relationship is the best!! I've never read a romance book more real about sex. The blowjob scene killed me!!!

This is my first Jay MacLean book and I'm in love with it. I don't have enough time for a proper review but the main characters, Lucy and Cameron, were so easy to fall in love with. I'm in love with their love as it's the kind that makes me believe in forever.

I can't wait to read the other books in this series.

My favorite thus far in the series. Cam and Lucy's relationship has gone through so much. I love these characters, they are realistic and just so much fun to real about. I love how the characters in this series is so real, I can totally see these characters in real life relationships. I really like how we have been with them since the beginning of their relationship from High School to College to finding a career. The author wrote this perfectly.

The first half the this book is great!!! The second half tho. Oh God, I’m too annoyed to even rant. Like books 2 and 3 it’s drama and angst overload. I hate the way this author uses tragedy. It’s a crutch, an excuse, an escape and most importantly a cheap way to move a story, redeem characters/relationships and contrive a plot without actually having to write a good story. It’s one of those cheat codes that never stops working (hence the high rating this series has). I also hate the way selfish shitty behavior is justified by these overly dramatic pasts. It gets old when you can see through the smoke and mirrors and realize how terrible the story really is. On a positive note, I absolutely love Mark. He’s this book’s saving grace. And because I’m not a quitter, I’ll probably read the last book but if I dislike it too, my list of authors to avoid will increase by one name. I’ve heard she gets Heidi the eff up outta here which is the only thing I can respect in this whole series.
