I listened to the audiobook version and stopped several times to take notes. Shawn Achor weaves together studies and his personal experiences observing students to explain why he thinks happiness leads to success rather than the other way around. During these pandemic-induced times of reduced socialisation, this is a timely reminder that the strength of social support can be a contributor to the happiness advantage.

Thought provoking and I can definitely see how some of this plays out in my personal experience. I picked up a couple of good nuggets to try to implement in my life and this wasn’t what I was expecting.

. I liked this one - lots of useful nuggets in there, easy to read. It’s from 2010 so the blackberry and Nokia phone references were amusing. So much of it was very familiar. Either I read this long ago and forgot or the useful nuggets have been repeated in many subsequent books/podcasts/instragram posts. Still worth a listen to keep the bigger picture in mind if that’s what you need

One of my top five business reads. Not one bad thing to say about this book, I absolutely loved it. I'd recommend it to any business owner, creative, or human being.
