I struggled to put this book down. Dr. Anna Fox has not been able to leave her house since an accident and now she spends all of her time playing chess online and talking to her new online friends. She has created a safe place where she watches her friends though the windows and she drinks the rest away. Now Anna does get stressful because I can’t imagine taking those pills and then drinking myself to a black out state, but hey, her life. But I really enjoyed this book. I enjoyed the ending and I felt genuinely surprised. Lots of people didn’t like this book and I can understand why, but I personally would recommend it.

Couldn’t put this one down. Some parts were predictable but it still kept me interested the whole way through. Stayed up way to late to finish and the ending had me SHOOK.

I was prepared to not love this book as it was compared to Gone Girl and Into The Water, neither of which I liked. This one does have a good number of twists but it is quite good. I’m not a huge fan of unreliable narrators but I didn’t mind her terribly.

Very slow. Probably would have enjoyed it more if I hadn't already seen the movie a few years ago. Didn't remember it much, but I still wanted to read the book. Could have gone without honestly

It's not the best, but it's also not the worst.

I only put this book down when I was forced to live my life, otherwise I would’ve read it in one day. I loved the execution of it and just needed to know more!

A.J. Finn is a master with words. I really dig his similes. The several twists we great, especially the first one that I did not see. I like the short chapters, that's how I write for my books. Great storyteller. I look forward to reading more from this author.
