It’s exciting to see a character with a shy personality, as Meeshell became much more relatable for me. Apples character development, compared to the beginning to this story was also nice to see. Overall a cute short novel.

This was so cute! The Little Mermaid is a fairy-tale I like, plus Meeshell Mermaid is my favorite Ever After High character after Briar Beauty of course! So having an entire book dedicated to her was fun! I liked watching her try to open up and become more accepting of herself.
The mermaid kingdom was cool to see, although I wish we saw a little bit more of it. But I wasn't disappointed with what we did get.
A few times lines were directly lifted from the webisode, which I didn't like since I wanted an original story! But when it did tell an original story, it was really good!
The crush Humphry had on Meeshell was kinda weird though since I thought he had a crush on Jillian? The author obviously has knowledge of the web-series, so why was this in here? There's a million other princes for her, and if needed, one could've easily been made up.
The beginning with her wearing the cast-off dress and ribbon reminded me of that scene in Disney's The Little Mermaid where she makes a dress out of the rope and boat sails...anyone else? Just me? Okay.
Plus I totally have Meeshell Mermaid's doll and she read the book with me I'M NOT ASHAMED

As a side story, cuter than the others in my opinion, and very different, which has been lacking. Pulling in a new character and watching them adjust to not only a new school, but entirely new way of life, was pretty fun. Overall still cute books, and if you like fairy tale stories, these are a fun addition.
