I really enjoyed the interaction between the characters in this installment; the snark, the heat, the potential. I still have a ton of questions, but that is kind of the point. There is one moment when it appears her powers get revealed, but it fades to another scene and the mystery builds. I just KNOW there is more to her than meets the eye, changeling, half breed, what have you... Cress is unique.

Things are starting to move and build, launching the series forward and setting the stage for what appears to be an epic journey.

My Final Verdict on Court of Frost

Heat, magic and danger are woven together in this fast moving, and sometimes disjointed, fantasy tale.  Questions are answered, more are asked and the quartet of curious souls move ever closer together.

Loving the Ice Man

This 2nd book was so good. We really get to know Sorrell and see how he changes towards Cress. We also see the deepening bonds between Cress, Roan & Orion. That ending though - oh the betrayal and danger...Can't wait for book 3.

I received this as an Advance Reader Copy and it is 100% my fault that I didn't realize this was a book 2 ... I have not read the other books. I quickly learned you definitely need to have read Court of Crimson first. So I stopped, read Court of Crimson Crimson and then came back to finish this book.

Book two begins with Cress making the journey to the Court of Frost with the three Fae Princes Roan, Orion & Sorrell.

The Court of Frost is a cold and cruel Court ruled by two Queens - Crimson Queen & The Frost Queen. It is a dangerous place to be sure, where politics, double-crossing behaviors and artifice are just Court Life and quite normal.

Ariana is up to her usual irritating and arch nemesis type behaviors and new Tyr is mischievous to be sure.

I am truly loving this series so far.

I enjoy seeing the development of relationships between Cress & the Princes as well as the enjoyment of reading their repartee. Oh wait … how about that cliffhanger ending?? Next book please!

That said, this was entertaining and a good read with colorful characters with real depth and a wonderfully built world. Thinking about picking up the first book!

This book was ok. I feel like a lot was packed into this one just for the shock value.

I didn’t enjoy it as much as I did the first in the series. But the dynamics of the characters were good.

I’ll definitely read the next one.

I felt like this was a giant filler book--Not much happens and little tidbits are thrown out here and there but not really explained.
