Я думала, що я настільки невибаглива, що мені заходять усі книжки. Але ж виявляється - ні. Я намагалася подружитисяʼ з Аделіною, але більше не хочу витрачати на неї свій час. І звісно ж не планую читати другу частину.
Головна героїня поводить себе гірше ніж маленька дитина, дуже тупо і неадекватно. І там де вона сама про себе говорить, що вона тупа - я ніколи не сперечалася. Бо так, дівчино, ти неперевершено тупа!
Головний герой зламав мій мозок. Він - темний лицар, що рятує жінок і дітей, які стали жертвами торгівців людьми, тобто від насилля. Чувак, а що ти сам робиш з ГГ? Наче вона гірша за всіх інших.
За віскі дідуся, я б його сама придушила. Наче в нього грошей немає собі на хороший віскі.

I…just don’t…understand…how can he justify his actions with Addy when he rescues victims of abuse everyday? And the god complex had me rolling my eyes so many times. I read this more like a horror story than a romance (even if supposedly dark) because romance, where? ::insert Pulp Fiction John Travolta looking around gif here:: The story itself was interesting and the ending makes me have to read the next book.

All I can say is that I was able to finish it. Unfortunately it ended on a cliffhanger so I might have to read the second book just to get closure.

When I was reading this book I personally found myself unable to put this book down from reading. I was kinda sucked into the storyline and the mystery of Addie’s great - grandmother. POV of both Addie and Zade help gives you insight to both characters.
I can understand why some people couldn’t finish reading this book. Even with the trigger warnings the content can be disbursing to read for others. If you’re someone who needs romance arcs to involve consent and communication. This type of book will probably not be your cup of tea.
