I rated this five stars, but that doesn't mean I think everyone should read it. Not at all. I rate books based on how well it represents the book it's meant to be, if that makes sense. This book is EXTREMELY graphic and not for the faint of heart or queasy of stomach, which is exactly what it was meant to be, so five stars. Take the content warnings at the beginning of the book very seriously. (This information is repeated in my reviews for Satan's Affair and Hunting Adeline on purpose because it's very important.)
If you haven't read Satan's Affair like this book recommends, go read that and come back to this one. I found myself referencing Satan's Affair a number of times because I have a crappy memory and wanted to make sure what I remembered was what I actually had read. It was fun to go back and forth between the books!
While I would not to have my own stalker or to have any of the stuff that occurs in this book to happen to me, the book drew me in and wouldn't let go. It was intense but less intense than Satan's Affair.
That ending, though. I had a feeling it was coming, but it still kicked me in the stomach, and I immediately started the next book, Hunting Adeline.

Dark and twisted. This was so good. Not my normal read but man was it enthralling.

Minus the blatantly glorified rape and the hypocritical heroism, this book was fantastic and incredibly memorable.
The level of cringe the writing style brought me...mama
