I enjoyed this book the most, but I’m more excited to read about Jacks in Once Upon a Broken Heart, which was the main reason I picked up this series! Still, I did like the characters, but I enjoyed Scarlett and Julian more than Tella and Legend. I’m glad they had their share in this book compared to the second.

I don't even know where to begin with this book. I loved it so much!✨ Caraval is definitely my favorite Fantasy series, Finale though was truly such a joy to read. The character development was so satisfying and the plot kept my glued to my seat. I read this book in a day I was so invested, I truly learning the meaning of "I couldn't put it down." The unexpected twists made sense, but at the same time were so unexpected. I'm trying my best to refrain from spoiling for those who haven't read this yet so you can experience the rollercoaster for yourself.

3.5 bumped to 4. This was my least favorite so far in the series beachside I felt the plot was lacking in someway. I loved caraval and legendary, but, to me it was not the same caliber. I missed the magic and the mysteriousness of Caraval. I love these characters and that is what made it so good for me.

"This is my choice, and I choose you, Donatella. I don't need immortality. You're my forever."

"Now you're mine as well."
"I've always been yours, Crimson."

I absolutely loved this book and no amounts of hate on it will change my mind. After I read the second book, my friend who had read it before me had mentioned that she did not enjoy this one at all, so I was not really expecting to either, but to my surprise I liked it even better than the second book! I do agree that there were many things going on and that there was random stuff thrown in the plot, but I feel like that just adds to the character of the series all together, and in some way it resembles the chaos the characters were experiencing throughout the book, so that made it even better in my opinion. Speaking of the characters, I really adored every single one of them and I also surprisingly liked some of the fates, like The Assasin and The Lady Prisoner. Actually they were my favorite characters besides Tella, obviously. I also really liked Jacks, but when he forced Tella to fall inlove with him I didn't like him as much, but I do understand that he was also hurting in his own way. Anyway, I'm glad that Legend broke the curse or whatever you wish to call it and gave up his immortality for her. I also liked that we got both Scarlett and Tella's povs and I feel like that really helped with the story.

I know that some people have very strong opinions about Tella, talking about how she sucks and stuff like that, or how Scarlett is so much better, but I love her nonetheless and she will forever remain my favorite in the series <3 I'm really glad she and Legend got their happy ending as well as Scarlett and Julian, and I really don't think that there is anything about this book that I would like to change, so it is definitely a 5/5 for me and for sure my favorite in the trilogy.

I'm really glad that I continued with the series after the first book, since it had not exactly met my expectations, but the second and third one definitely made up for that. Perhaps I should reread it one day and see if my opinion stays the same, or if I just remember it all wrong. Either way, I still really enjoyed the whole series, and I can't wait to read 'Once Upon a Broken Heart'!

2.5 stars. I find myself very indifferent to this book, overall, which is really disappointing after how much I enjoyed the set up. There was too much melodrama and heavy focus on the love triangles. Really, all of these characters have the potential to be incredibly interesting and nuanced but it was all just focused around the romance and that was boring, honestly. I would have liked a heavier emphasis on the mother/daughters and the father/daughter relationships. I wanted more atmosphere and exploration of the possibilities of magic outside of if you can make someone experience love to a great enough extent that they can be killed.
