A very cute ending, some characters I liked a little less in this volume, particularly because of their actions, others as charismatic as ever, the descriptions improved thanks to the smells and colours, and there's plenty of tension... This tome is a magical, fast-paced adventure, full of suspense despite a number of fairly predictable twists. I'll be reading OUABH with a warm heart

Such a wonderful finale (no pun intended) to a fantastic series!

Scarlett is still not a character that I like. Every time it was her perspective, I was so bored and I wanted to skip it. I still don't like her relationship with Julian, but it is better than it was in Caraval.

Crappy review but I need to calm myself down from that finale!

This book was a massive bore to get through…I enjoyed the first 2 books but I feel like the author kind of lost the plot with this. I feel like a lot of revelations were thrown to the reader but they didn’t do much to further the plot in any way. Everytime I thought something actually exciting was going to happen…it just never did.

And I could not deal with the constant repeated information for context…I understand it’s YA but the author does not need to remind us of major plot points every 5 seconds it’s so redundant. One thing that also pissed me off was Tella’s internal monologue about Legend….we get it she wishes Legend could love her but man, it got so annoying when that literally took up half the book.

Anyways, I also wasn’t a huge fan of how the main problem with the Fallen Star was resolved…idk i was kind of expecting more…all it took was a speech? really?? But overall, I feel like this was a very poor ending to a series that started off as not too bad.

Love love love!! Jacks worked his way into my heart in this one. I cannot get over how magical the writing is, and the the descriptions Garber uses. This world would be so fun to experience! Each character had a redemption arc and I adored it. Very well done, and I can’t believe it’s taken me so long to get around to reading this series!!
