This immediately grabbed me! Alternating chapters of post-WWII Nazi hunting, the premiere of Christian Dior, and flashbacks to resistance and espionage during WWII, this book had a little of everything. The focus on the changing roles of women provided internal conflict for the title character. After working for the OSS during the war, how could she be expected simply to return to the states, marry, raise children, and live a life throwing dinner parties and catering to her husband's every need? Her PR job for Christian Dior gives her the opportunity to support herself while giving her connections to those who may help her bring to justice, or at least save her from, a Nazi who caused the death of several friends. The details of Dior's work were beautiful. Sometimes the story seemed to have too much going on and the transitions were not very smooth. Also, the author's note, which apparently detailed her extensive research and inspiration, was not included in the audiobook (note to publishers: this is a crime against readers and authors, in my opinion). After searching online, I was able to find the information, which is fascinating. If I'm allowed, I'll post the link of info from the author
