I was a bit vary when I realized who the couple was. Mostly because the heroine did not leave me with the best impression in the first two books. Guess, there is also sympathy and antipathy with fictional characters. So, instead to read the book as soon as it was out, like usually. I waited and read some review. Now, I have finally read it and sadly I still don't like Jules very much. She was a freaking hot mess through pretty much the complete book.

I really liked Kai. He's such a great guy. I loved how very aware he was of his feelings and how he read Jules so well. Yes, sure he did not see all of her. But honestly, he understood her much better than she did herself.

To me, there never was "Puppy Love". That guy is a real man, showing how he felt the way he wanted to. Without caring that others pitied him for it. Because that's the kind of guy he was and quite honestly there was and is nothing to pity him for. There should be more heros like him. I also loved how he turned her down and did not let her use him. That was absolutely the correct choice. Had he not done that, I'm sure she would have detest him later on.

Personally, I never was a big fan of Jules. Not because she cleary was a workaholic. It's just that how she acted like she didn't realized how Kai felt, always felt "fake" to me. The flashbacks proofed me right. I know I'm in the minority regarding Jules. But for me Jules spend way too much time playing ostrich (aka burrying her head in the sand). I mean if her Ex didn't do what he did, she would have gone through with the wedding! Seriously, it boggles my mind.

Don't get me wrong, I understand being insecure. I'm often insecure as well. But she acted like it's shameful and embarassing. She didn't even gave people a chance to get to know her. Always so extremely fixated on controlling every aspect of her live. I firmly believe that it is neccessary and healthy to be honest to oneself and to own up to ones feelings. To own what one is and what one feels. It took her way too freaking long to get there. Actually it made me pity her. Which is a shame, because I guess Jessica wanted us to see her as someone that has strength.

Oh, and I hope Jule's Ex, aka the bastard, died a slow, painful and ugly death.

So this book gets three stars because of Kai and the other team members. I still feel that Kai deserved someone just as devoted to him, and I'm not sure that Jules is that. I'm sure she loves him, but is it because of him, or because he gave her everything she wanted?

Either way, I can't wait for the next book in the series.

Coming off my high of The Ghost I was slightly disappointed with this book to be honest. I loved Kai he is an awesome book boyfriend however dude, how hung up where you with Jules here? It was really sad this completely unrequited love that was going on.

I mean really can one really be that clueless to what is going on and if someone has the hots for you? I think no but then again apparently Jules can you know?

Apart from that I do really enjoy these books a lot. I really can't wait to get Miller's book she is a riot.

The journey continues.

This had such great potential and build up over the previous 2 books in the series, but I didn't love the execution.  We get a ton of flashbacks to Kai and Jules to show the progression of their relationship.  However, these scenes took away from the current romantic suspense plot and overall really deflated any tension.  I also didn't really buy into the sort of insta-love that Jules went through and I didn't have enough time with Jules and Kai as a couple to really get on board with their relationship for the long term.

Loved this. I've always had a soft spot for Kai and Jules. It was fun to see Kai in his element being a bit of a badass but always a sweetheart. This made me love Finn even more and I can't wait to hear his story. Oh and Bellamy? Yes please. YES.....PLEASE!!!!

Totally almost forgot about this series!! Ahhhh Kaaaaai ur the sweetest. And I also love Miller. She cracks me up her humor adds a balance to the tense tone of the book. Loved this one! I love how it’s written, and it’s not cheesy like some romantic suspense novels are. I give the spice 3/5. Can’t wait to read more in this universe. Keep up the great work Gadziala. 💛💛

I'm happy for Kai to finally get his HEA. He have been a side character in the first two books but his love for Jules have never been a secret. And damn this was intense and yes, it was a good book. But at the same time, I'm little disappointed. I expected Jules to be this bad ass, strong woman, who just had no idea that Kai had a thing for her. Then it turns out she had known all the time, misinterpret (maybe) her own feelings and never acted on it. Kind of meek and submissive and not in the good way. It made the story a little to unrealistic and certainly not what I had expect. Then the whole like me, like me not, needs time, do not need time cabal back and forth, just irked me. But Kai totally saved it. I love him. He is the perfect guy. And maybe I love him more than other characters because he reminds me of my own man, but hey, we are not laying not on that.

The plot was believable and new compared to what Gadziala usually writes. However somewhat unsatisfying and anticlimactic with the whole Gary thing. I wish we got to follow Bellamy instead according to that topic, but that just me I guess. I crave the more darker stuff in these type of books.

Next up is the fourth book in the series and I'm so exciting. Because there you will (I have heard) get to know the whole truth behind Eli's incarceration and the circumstances surrounding those characters. But I'm going to save it to a time where I do not have to work. Hate to read those really good books, but then have to go to work.
