Ink, blood and other afflictions are like tiny scripts of a bigger story. This is episode one. I was drawn in from “Her” POV with the stabby, murderous ways. As well as “His” POV of first seeing Vera. Both are mysterious with weird “afflictions” . We don’t really get much back story about them or much scene setting in this episode. Thus my 3 stars. It had a lot of potential but I got confused and lost along the way. Maybe Episode 2 will help a girl out.

I really enjoyed it, I love fast paced books where there is instant attraction. I loved that both Vera and Nikolai were pretty crazy and had supernatural stuff going on. I'm very intrigued and can't wait for the next instalment.

This was a quick, fun unhinged read that I throughly enjoyed! I love this author’s writing style & plan on reading more of her works in the future. I really enjoyed the premise of a dark goddess & a strong, in control FMC with a doting (could be considered stalking🤣) MMC. I definitely will be watching for Episode 2 of this series!

This was fast, sharp, and gloriously unhinged—in the best way possible. The tone is wickedly dark with just the right amount of humor and heat. I had fun reading it, no doubt about that.
But I was left wanting more—more world-building, more background, more depth. It felt like a delicious teaser rather than a fully fleshed-out story. The potential here is huge, and if this turns into a longer series or full novel? I’m in.

I think this novella was too short for me to actually form any strong opinions, but I liked the first few chapters that I was able to read, and would like to explore more about the characters. I'm especially curious about the goddess that resides in the main female character's soul (? in her chest? Idk the mechanics of it yet, but she's possessed so).

This book sank its claws into me… and I didn’t want it to let go.
In the hauntingly seductive first installment of Ink, Blood & Other Afflictions, we’re pulled into a tangled web of obsession, power, and possession, following a magnetic Nikolai, a fierce Vera, and the enigmatic and murderous Goddess who shares her body.
Dark, deliciously twisted, and burning with tension, this story delivers the perfect mix of spice and suspense. I devoured all 60 pages in just over an hour, but time disappeared while I was deep in this world. The plot is tight, the stakes are high, and the chemistry is absolutely lethal.
I’m hooked! Aching for more of these beautifully broken characters and the shadowy paths they walk. Bring on the next chapter—I need my next fix.
This is a must add to your dark romance watch list, you can expect a September release.
