The first twist was laughably predictable, but everything else after that was most definitely not. Well done.

Probably more like 3.75 - 4 stars.

The story seemed simple but I do like that it makes it easy to follow. I felt like I kept second guessing my guesses on who the actual killers were but I did not like that the main character just immediately started to fall for the random guy in the book who also lied about who he was.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I picked up What Lies in the Woods on a whim and was pleasantly surprised by its grit, atmosphere, and twisty plotting.

The story follows Naomi Shaw, a survivor of a brutal attack 22 years ago. Her attacker was locked away for life—or was he? As Naomi revisits that summer, it becomes clear that not everything about the case is what it seemed.

What really stood out to me were the characters and the suspense. The novel maintains a dark, unsettling tone with morally ambiguous players and a mystery that kept me guessing until the very end.

Perfect for fans of dark, crime-filled thrillers who enjoy layered characters and plenty of twists.

WOW. This was so good. I did not see the twists coming and could not stop reading. Excellent.

2.5⭐️ The premise of this book drew me in but it did not deliver for me. If I wasn’t so nosey I would’ve DNF lol. I have never met such an annoying FMC

this book brought me to actual tears at the end. i really really enjoyed this one. once I got about halfway through, I quite literally couldn't put it down. the story, the depth ... i just loved it so much. i can't recommend it enough. definitely one of my favorites this year by far.

Fast paced. Twisty.

I didn’t even guess some of the twists. I did feel some of it was just thrown in to shock and twists to twist but I didn’t hate it.

Great narrator for the audiobook.
