The first 13 or so chapters were so slow it nearly made me drop reading the book. I'm so glad pushed through though. Everything was happening so fast when the actual zombie attacks started tha tI could barely put the book down. I was holding my breath from then until the end of the book. There are tons of death though. And every single one of those made my heart ache. I loved every one of them, even Cuellar who was a d**k when he first appeared

Interesting, though I don't quite love the writing style. The ending also felt rushed. I would've enjoyed a little more time spent there.

Favorite parts: Strong female friendships, themes of forgiveness and unapologetically being enthusiastic about your passions/interests/hobbies. Also, it's not overly gruesome (which I definitely appreciated).
Not so much: From my reading experience with this book, I felt one character was based off model minority myths and another I would place into the queerbaiting category.
