This book was enticing, it had me gripped from a couple pages in. It's not your typical girl meets boy books, in fact so far it's nothing of the sort. The first three chapters which I had the pleasure of reading had your gripped and always wondering what would happen next. As Sonny arrive in the opticians it was clear that there was something, a spark between him and Hannah until he went to collect his glasses before returning back to Amsterdam. It was clear to Hannah that something was off as Sonny was shaking but she didn't know him well enough to just know what it was and when asked Sonny claims everything is okay.
Time passes and they run into each other in the street, which leaves Hannah with many questions, the main one being: why didn't he go back to Amsterdam?
Through reading these first three chapters it is clear that I will thoroughly enjoy this book much like I have with the few other Paige Toon books I have managed to get my hands on! So far there is nothing in this book that I did not enjoy! I cannot wait to get my hands on the full copy.

This book is full of love. And not in a sickly way! Theres gorgeous friendships, not only between our main characters Sonny and Hannah, but between families, pets and work mates. It has it all and it's still not enough... I would happily read another 5 books about these characters. What a fab story

My first Paige Toon book!! I absolutely adored this. Every time I picked it up I just kept wanting to read more and more..
A heartwarming and beautiful read, but also heartbreaking. Parts of this focuses on the area of mental health. The main characters Hannah and Sonny - I just kept rooting for both of them. They were both damaged from their troubled past...
Hannah met Sonny when he came for his eye test and there is an instant attraction. Then ups and downs came after they first met due to their troubled past - I just wanted to jump into the book and tell them everything will be okay. I didn’t expect what happened in both of their lives; but then you never know what someone is going through.
I loved how Hannah and Sonny supported each other and learnt to trust each other. I adored their friendship group with Matilda and Archie, so much support between them all. Very likeable characters!
I definitely give this book 5 stars ⭐️ and I can’t wait to read more of her books!

The Minute I Saw You
* Synopsis: Hannah and Sonny bump into each other randomly one and decide they would be perfect for a fling as neither of them do long term relationships. As they have mutual friends they decide it’s better if they don’t hook up but instead slowly get to know each other. We learn that they both have troubled pasts with Sonny being abused as a child and Hannah’s twin passing away. They work through their issues together and try to work on a meaningful long term relationship.
* Rating: 6.5/10
* Pros: I enjoyed Sonny and Hannah as characters, I liked that they ended up together and we got to see the development of their relationship
* Cons: just didn’t feel like it was for me, everything felt forced and conveniently like it fell into place
* Would I recommend: yes but not one of the best Paige Toon books

This was my first Paige Toon book and i loved it! It's got everything you expect in a cheesy, contemporary romance but as you're reading you're realising there are some hugeeee secrets being kept. I love when a contemporary romance goes a bit deeper and throws a spanner in the works because it stops them being so predictable. Even though i read this way back in January i still think about it even now! The two manin characters are so bloody loveable and they both bring their fair share of emotional baggage to the story which tbh just made me hope for a happy ending even more. My first PT but definitely not my last
Oh god, where do I even start??
If you haven’t thought about reading this books already - do it! You won’t regret it! It not only gives you the comfort and happy moments, but it lets you into the past of both Hannah and Sonny’s lives.
I’d be lying if I didn’t say I was absolutely bawling by the end of the book, the last few chapters allowed questions to be answered and loose ends to be tied up (in a very smart way, I may add, with the help of moments that had been planted previously in the book)!

Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with a free audio version of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I enjoyed this book a lot more than I thought I would, as I don't read much contemporary romance. The narrator was fantastic, and did some wonderful acting with her voice. There was some brilliant character development in the beginning, and I really started to root for Hannah from the first few chapters. Learning more and more about Hannah, and Sonny, and their troubled pasts was absolutely intriguing and I just wanted to know more.
The romance I found very, very slow and dragged out. There were times where I thought the book could have been so much shorter as parts could have been left out. However, I did really appreciate the fact that we really got to know Hannah and Sonny before their romance fully blossomed. I also found the narrator's male character voice quite jarring at first, but I got used to it and actually enjoyed the fact that the narrator could act as so many different characters.
I would recommend looking for trigger warnings with this book, but I don't want to include them in this review as they could be seen as spoilers!

I liked that this was a journey through the first stages of a relationship, rather than just the get together, and that they took their time, as was appropriate for their trauma. The scene setting was lovely, and I enjoyed that the characters weren't so overly described that I left no room for imagination.
I do, however, worry about their livers and bank accounts - every social interaction seems to involve drinking to the point of drunkenness (or at least "getting tipsy").
