I really need to read these long comic series all in the same year. I think I've been reading these comics for about 3 years at least. Still very cool, dark stuff, can't wait to see how it all ends.

Eh, I feel like this series is losing it's edge. Everything is still pretty good across the board when it comes to writing, drawings, settings, and dialogue. It's just the pacing that feels slow. Hopefully this series will conclude soon because I don't know what else can be put in this series.

Well paced, well drawn, and an overall good feel for what amounts to a bit of a filler volume.

These volumes are starting to feel really short and I feel like I've just started and then it's over. Still a good series I just want a little bit more...

Continuing on with Birthright is a collection that focuses on Brennan's burgeoning career as a magician while he and Mikey resolve their conflicts like any good sibling duo: with a bit of fisticuffs. As always, the series packs great epic and urban fantasy imagery into a story that is interesting even when the character beats fall on genre tropes. Nonetheless, there's lots of good family drama that seems like it's about to reach its apex. I've not read ahead to see how long is left in the series. I'd assume we're in the back-half by now!

Looking forward to checking in with the Rhodes family in a few months.

FINALLY. It is really about time that we see more about Brennan since the whole story has been about Mikey. We finally get to see the toll everything has taken on Brennan and why (I think) he turns to magic to have some semblance of power. This is a series that keeps getting better as we delve into the nuances. I like that Mikey seriously considers giving up fighting in the war because of everything that it's taken from him - and why shouldn't he? Very good reading.
