This was very gruesome and if you are squeamish in any way, don’t read.
I enjoy Dexter and his detached and individual reality with which he experiences the world around him. I LOVE Lindsay’s alliteration as it is probably my favorite figurative language. My main criticism though is that he could have done a short medical internet search on a few different aspects. I did not enjoy some of the descriptions as I think there was a little too much not left to the imagination (if you know, you know).
I am also very concerned about how Kyle’s pinky ring managed to look enough like an engagement ring while also fitting Rita?… it kind of seems like that was all thrown together. Plus Kyle would likely ask for it at some point and then what is Dexter going to say. I think it’s weird but obviously Dexter wouldn’t as he doesn’t have that in him but he would be thinking of the flaw in logic as what will happen if Kyle makes it as he will want the ring. But that portion never seemed to cross his mind despite the fact Dexter knew he needed to get Kyle before it was too late.
I am very interested to see where this series goes next.

Dexter has found another "bad guy" worthy of a visit to his table. And this one comes with a bonus assailant. Unfortunately, Sergeant Doakes has been tailing Dexter, so he can't complete this double mission. And worse, he ends up working with the Sergeant to find a serial killer with ties to Central America. All this because Deb, his sister, asked for her brother's help so she can see her recent love again. No one knows where Kyle is, but like Deb, Dexter hopes he is alive for her sake.

A very fun, gory read. I'm a big fan of the whole Dexter series.
