Sebenarnya aku sudah agak lupa dengan awalan cerita. Karena sempat putus beberapa minggu, jadi lebih baik meneruskan cerita sesuai boomark terakhir.

Well, menurutku kisahnya tidak semenegangkan karya-karya Sandra Brown yg lain.

I'll drop 3.5 for this book.

Never thought I would read Sandra Brown . . . then became obsessed with getting my hands on these fabulously trashy thrillers. Now I’m Sandra Brown 4 life!

Another fantastic read! I've been a longtime fan of Sandra Brown and every book I read is a hit. No different with this one. The suspense and hunt for answers kept me on the edge of my seat and guessing till the very end. I was totally engrossed with the book and trying to figure out whodunit. And I've accepted a new member to my Book Boyfriend Club, John Trapper, the male MC. My oh my. This guy had being an asshole down pat, but there was so much more to him than the quick comebacks and snark. He was incorrigible, unapologetic, smart, and a charmer. Totally loved him! Then there was a surprise with the female MC, Kerra Bailey. I'm not usually a fan of journalists in books. For some reason their quests to find the answers, damn the consequences, gets on my last nerve. But with this book, Kerra didn't make me feel that way. She was intelligent and succumbed to Trapper's charm (just like I did).

Great read, and another winner from Sandra Brown.

Do I even need to write a review for this?

I mean, It's a Sandra Brown book. Isn't that a review in and of itself?!

This one here checks all the boxes of your typical SB book:
A woman, just going about, living her life, then all of the sudden finds herself thrust in the middle of a shit storm, where she has to be constantly looking over her shoulder and be aware of everyone around her.

A handsome, suspicious, short-tempered asshole man, whom no one seems to trust, that our lady gets infatuated with despite him being a major Jerkface.

P.S: We - as readers - also fall in love with this Jerkface <3

Not a single character is to be trusted. You never know who is gonna jump out of fucken nowhere to do some backstabbing business.

Plot twists coming at you out of the left field.

Overall and everything considered; an awesome read.

The reason this didn't get a full 5 stars was that in comparison to her other books, this wasn't as good. It wasn't bad by any means, but it wasn't up to par as to what I've come to expect from SB books.
As per usual, with SB you can't really pinpoint the real bad people until the very end. You pretty much suspect every single character at one point or another..
Hey.. you think this person is bad.. well, guess again!

Having said that, at no point throughout the whole book, did I suspect Trapper of being a bad guy. Yes, he was an asshole - as all the main guys in SB books are - but that was all.
In all of my favorite Sandra Brown's books, with Chill Factor at the top, I had to second guess myself about the main characters multiple times. I'd suspect them, then I'd think, no way! Then I'll suspect them again, then I'd find a way to justify their actions.. and so on and so forth. Not the case here.

That being said, I still very much enjoyed this read and I look forward to my next SB book.

This book is a roller coaster ride from the first page to the last. It was full of action, had a great plot with a twist. I loved all the action and interaction between the characters. I recommend running to your favorite book store and grabbing a copy.
