This era wasn’t nearly as bad as I expected/ what everyone said at the time, but it does end with a bit of a whimper.

By far the worst comic run I've ever read.

Emma Frost goes insane after Scott’s death and decides to commit suicide by crossover, in the most out of character way possible. You’re telling me the woman who survived Genosha is going to build a bunch of sentinels and use them to try and kill all her friends and family? I’m not buying it, even assuming she suffered a complete psychotic break. Also it’s just a bunch of punching.

The Champions are the clear winners here, with Ms Marvel saving the day.

*shakes head*

The X-Men heading straight for battle instead of vocalising their concerns about the terrigen mist was understandable, but also tiresome and kind of disappointing because they have face countless threats of extinction and years of prejudice, and have also held their heads high.

The Inhumans reaction was also understandable, they didn't have all the facts, they didn't know the terrigen was going to destroy the X-Men in such a short time but still...they knew the effects it was having....sighhh

The premise was good, the execution was bland and pointless.

Blackbolt is my favorite character in marvel universe. I expected to see him in full power against x men instead they gave nuhumans lead role. Huge disappointment!!

Okay

Minor Spoilers* I came into this brand new with no knowledge of what recently happened in X-Men or Inhumans beyond what was written in the book. Because of this, I found that this wasn't entirely confusing. However, I did find the plot to be rather fast and the ending to be a bit lack-luster. I don't like that they set the blame on one character when they all made mistakes. I also feel like the ending could have been more poignant, but for what it is, it's fine.

Wow that could have been a lot worse. Actually the story and the art were not bad. The idea behind the story and the art was more the problems. It's hard not seeing Marvel killing off future Inhumans as related to the MCU. But then again this is Marvel, nothing is fixed, nothing is consistent. There were definitely pieces I liked including Young Jean Grey keeping Karnak busy for three days. But the too quick end to the conflict was not a place. And yes of course Emma Frost is evil, but whatever.

Neat art, especially loved the Storm design! Powerful characters used in creative ways, action/battle packed!
