the third installment of the Scarpetta series takes place couple years after the last book left off and opens with müderes that happened during the time jump and the reader gets introduced to it throughout the first 100 or so pages while also being shown the latest crime that happened.
that was a little different to the other two books but in a good way.
there are still the characters we know but had some personal changed they are all going though that the reader learns about along side the investigation.
it works very well and i really enjoyed how the entire plot was unraveled and i couldn’t stop reading the last 100+ pages because o just had to know what would happened and how it would all wrap up. o was not disappointed with the choices the author made! it was action packed and sad at the same time.
it’s a great addition to the overall series so far, a great stepping stone to build the characters on for guter books but also wraps it all up as nicely as the first two books did so that of the reader wants to stopp or not continue on right away with the series that is fine!
