It was fun. I'd probably read another Emily Henry novel. But I didn't enjoy it enough to buy a copy for myself.

Solid 4+ stars here- this might be my favorite Emily Henry book so far!

The tropes in this book are fake girlfriend/boyfriend and I suppose grumpy/sunshine, althought I never thought that Daphne was especially grumpy. I liked their relationship fine.

Although these days, I don't really read romances so much for the romance. I liked Daphne with her librarian job and Miles with his work at the winery. I really enjoyed the tour that Miles gave Daphne around the Michigan town that Daphne sees no reason to stay in after her fiance dumps her for his best friend after his bachelor party. I liked Ashleigh, the truly grumpy librarian that Daphne ends up becoming friends with. Some actual attention was given to female friends in conflict in this book, and yay for that.

Basically this was a great vacation read and some escapism with likable characters in an attractive place with good food- nothing wrong with any of that.
