Cute if a little slow to get started. Like any small town it’s who you know that matters and Miles was that for her. He helped to get her connected to multiple vendors and donors for Daphane’s read a thon. I liked his outlook on life until we realized that it was all hiding from the past to make up for the way he was raised. I can’t believe that her ex thought she would take him back. Her Dad is a piece of trash who barely learned from his mistakes. Glad she found herself and discovered what she wanted before diving into a relationship for real.

It's my favorite Emily Henry book so far. I found the characters very lovable (the protagonists) and the romance sweet and realistic. I liked the development of Daphne because I feel like the struggle of being always a "we" when you're in a couple and then suddenly break up and having to face being one is an interestin topic that is not seen in many books.

Also Miles is such an interesting character and it's fun to first know him through what Peter told Daphne of him and then getting to really know him.
