I am a huge fan of Emily Henry, I don’t think she is capable of writing something that isn’t instantly wonderful, compelling and heartwarming. But this one takes the cake for me. My favourite of her works so far by Miles (pun intended).

She has a way of making these trope-y old school romance vibes feel so new and above anything else believable. Her characters always feel so real to me. And they are truly all different and varied.

I absolutely inhaled this book, I couldn’t stop. I was excited for moments of peace where I got to read. Solidifying Henry as one of my favourite all time authors for sure.

I was reluctant to pick this one up because she is on a roll recently with the new releases coming so quickly, I was worried we were getting into samey sellout territory. But I’m confident now that she just keeps getting better and better!

Probs a 3.5 (petition for half stars continues !!!!!)

Solid contemporary romance - I listened to this on audiobook and it was easy to follow and generally enjoyable. The stakes were never that high and the main character was appropriately dramatic for a romance but not annoying or anything. I liked all of the side characters and the dialogue and banter between the two main characters was natural and fun to read. There were a lot of descriptions of wine which felt a little random at times.
