I absolutely loved the first three books in this series but this fourth and final book felt disconnected from the previous books and the complexity of the world building within it really tainted my experience of the whole series.
I found it a hard read but the desire to finish the series which I had loved so much, kept me reading until the end. Perhaps if I were to reread the whole series again I might find the flow supports a better reception of the final book but I won’t be rushing to do that.
The highlight of the storm of echoes was the development of Ophelia and Thorn’s relationship which I thoroughly enjoyed witnessing… although the ending ruined this enjoyment for me.
A disappointing ending, I wish I had stopped after book three and kept the magic alive.

What an insane ending to this insane book series. Truly, a masterpiece.
I was hoping this book would give some closure after everything that happens. And to some extent, it does, but not fully. Some things are left in the open, but I don't mind that, it doesn't mess with the story and the ending still happens at a beautiful moment.
I will have the last few words engraved in my memory forever, thank you very much.
All in all, there isn't much else to say, rather than this is an absolute roller coaster of a book. The scenery is described so vividly. The vibes really add to the whole story.
These books gave me something interesting to read about during this winter and left me on the edge of my seat quite a few times, but I am grateful for these books and can't wait to be rereading them soon. If not something more.

People don’t like the ending but after reflection, I loved it. They won’t give up until they are back together. It’ll happen. I want to thank the author for writing my favorite book series that i’ve read in a while.

I have really mixed feelings.
I want to like this book so much, and I love the characters and romantic development between Ophelia and Thorn, but the plot and fantasy just became too difficult for me to follow. I didn’t understand where things were going or why things were happening or why they connected.
When a character would explicitly spell something out, It didn’t feel like a “oh! Why didn’t I think of that? It makes perfect sense” it felt more like “okay I guess this is a thing now, that came from nowhere.” Maybe I wasn’t paying enough attention when I was reading, maybe it’s because it’s been years since I read the first two books, but I truly just had to sit back and pretend to understand what was going on.
And don’t get me started on the end.
