I am not new to reading the Misadventures series, but this is the first book I have read from Angel Payne. That being said, I really enjoyed this book. I really liked the idea about it and it was a different kind of read for me.

I loved Max. He didn’t try to shy away that he wasn’t from the present time, yet no one believed he wasn’t. Just thought he was strange. I felt his reactions to the new age technology was realistic and probably how anyone would react in that situation. Alice was hit or miss. I liked her but at the same time I was also frustrated with her, because I wanted her to believe, to fit.

There is no denying the chemistry these two had though. It was explosive from the very first moment they met and just continued to grow and develop from there.

I fell in love with this story and these characters and I hope there is more of them in the future because I definitely want to see what is in store for both Max and Allie.

Misadventures with a Time Traveler is a whirlwind romance you don't want to miss! An adventure that defies all odds and will have you believing in the impossible. This was a steamy roller coaster of emotions and passion. A wonderfully depicted tale of how much has changed since 1789, with a spellbound and tragic story surrounding Max's history, that will have you swooning from the first page. Angel Payne has outdone herself with this latest addition to the Misadventures Series, and I was captivated until the very end. The perfect escape for any reader that wants some romance, with a touch of "Kate & Leopold" in their life!

Misadventures with a Time Traveler

I absolutely loved this entry in the Misadventures series. Max is a man of the 18th century. At the beginning of the French Revolution, commoners have already beheaded his parents & brother, now they are after him. His servant & nursemaid, Kiara, who turns out to be a sorceress send him on a time traveling adventure to find his soul mate.

Allie is a full figured, fashion blogger. She has arrive in the French country side for her birthday getaway with her besties. The first night in the De Leon household she finds a strange, handsome man in her bedroom. His name is Max & he is here for her.

Angel Payne has written a novel that I read in about 5 hours total! It is so good. I am going to have to check out more of her writing.

Totally unlikeable heroine. Insta-love. I really wanted to like this, but for the first 30% I wanted to quit. It did pick up and they quit using speech that totally alienated anyone over 30.
