Q: When a hotshot actor moves in next door to your best friend, how far would you go to meet him?
-
Adam Connor is the divorced academy award winning movie star who just moved in next door to Lucy’s best friend, Olive. Just when Lucy was thinking about going over to his house to offer him a shoulder to cry on, he has her thrown in jail for a minor incident. After that, Lucy vows to never fall in love with him and to hate him forever. But then his son begs Lucy to look after him so that he doesn’t have to go back to his mothers house whilst Adam is on set for the day. From then on, Lucy and Adam slowly start spending more time together to the point of which they become close friends. Will the release of a press statement from his ex-wife’s PR team be the end of something that had only just begun?

Oh my god this was way better than the first book in this series but can completely be read as a stand-alone but it would make more sense to read to love Jason thorn first. I adored Lucy and the way she was with Aiden and with Adam himself. I also adored the way she very much so didn’t want to fall in love ever again but you can tell that from the moment she looked after Aiden for the first time that she slowly started to fall for Adam but refused to admit it. And the plot twist at the end? Spectacular! 5 stars and I would highly recommend!

"I will be the one who speaks to your heart, Lucy Meyer, just like you seem to speak to mine."

Oh my god!! This book was absolute perfection. I enjoyed every second of it. It was lighthearted, heartwarming, sweet and wholesome. The banter and humour was fantastic. Some parts were really funny and some were heavy but it was really balanced throughout the whole story.
The starting was a bit slow for me but when Adam finally met Lucy things just keep on getting interesting and it was really captivating till the end. I loved the family dynamics of Lucy, Adam and Aiden. They were just so adorable

Such a fun and flirty book! It’s been so long since I read the first one so it took me awhile to remeber, but I loved this! I think Ella Maise is quickly becoming a loved author of mine:) I highly recommend this duology!!

Spicy, funny and cute. What more could you want. Lucy and Adam were perfect. There is absolutely no way I saw that twist coming, but it drew me in. Ella Maise’s done it again.

I don't know if I have ever hated a book the way I hate this book. Really and truly a crime.

"Have you ever had a boyfriend? Because I'm having a really hard time imagining anyone putting up with you."

"And I can see exactly why your wife divorced you, Mr. Connor."
