This book was genuinely so good!! Haven’t read a romance in a while where it feels like the spice is secondary to the plot rather than the other way around.

Things I loved:
1. Love love loveee the “enemies to friends to lovers” take on the usual “enemies to lovers” trope! Felt way more realistic and attainable especially in this setting.

2. The setting being in a book shop/cafe was gorgeous, felt very immersive and realistic, I loved the dynamic between the two rival stores, the idea of one being very sophisticated while the other is a lot more care free

3. I appreciated the way the characters were able to change and evolve throughout the book, I especially appreciated the way it wasn’t just Ryan and Josie that grew as people but also all those around them
lighthearted medium-paced

DID NOT FINISH: 9%

The writing and dialogue felt too juvenile. Also couldn’t get into the MMC POV, most likely bc of the writing
