Maybe I’m not used to this type of romance, but they’re so constantly horny. Even as enemies. It was too much for me.

Thank you, Berkley and PRH Audio! I freaking loved this book! I'm obsessed with the role reversal of Ryan selling romance books and running a romance bookstore, while Josie is the one running a shop for serious, classic novels. The competition, the store cats, the cozy coffee shop in the middle of it all, it’s the perfect romcom! We get forced proximity, disability rep, grumpy x sunshine, You’ve Got Mail vibes, and the tall MMC with sweaters and glasses! I adored the story and enjoyed listening while reading at the same time. The hate to love and one-bed tropes are my faves!

Appreciate that this book highlights the beauty of the hard work and countless efforts of inde bookshops and sellers. I also am supportive and believe Jewish representation is important in stories.

I read this book for a book club for August. However, I just became aware regarding Ali Hammer’s Pro-Israel stance. Using “genocide” in quotes? Seriously?! 😒

Absolutely boring

very generic story and used several ableist tropes and phrases (“wheelchair-bound,” the sister “not letting her disability stop her”) and Georgia felt like a plot device rather than a fully formed disabled person. too many references to JKR for 2025 also
