This was fine and I liked all of the banter and references to real books well enough until poor Ryan started listening to Atlas Shrugged (!?!) because Josie was apparently a fan. Honey, no. That's a red flag.

“Growing up, countless well-meaning adults urged me to get my ‘nose out of that book’ and go outside to ‘experience real life.’ But from what I've seen, reality is vastly overrated.”
I feel so seen! 🥹❤️
Battle of the Bookstores is a delightful enemies-to-friends-to-lovers romance that might just be the best I've read this year. Ryan Lawson's character is undeniably swoon-worthy 🥰 A true green flag in every sense! While he may not be the most realistic mmc, who needs realism when he's so charming? Josie, on the other hand, is the perfect feisty and lovable mfc. Their banter is absolute perfection *chef’s kiss* I was hooked from the start.
A small aspect that I absolutely loved about this book is all of the book talk. It's a cozy touch that made me feel seen. It felt as if I was having a conversation with a fellow book lover.
Overall, Battle of the Bookstores is a must-read for anyone looking for a sweet romance.

This was a fun, light book during a tough week. Sometimes you just need something fun.

This was excellent jet lag reading. Very you’ve got mail, which of course I was into. But I couldn’t get over the details of having two bookstores in one space would work. Wouldn’t customers be constantly bringing romance books to the lit fic side and vice versa?
