I used to love this graphic novel series and this just adds to the series. I love the drawings and stories.

In the fifth graphix of the BSC, we get to meet up with Dawn. Slightly different from the others because there are new illustrators, I still really enjoyed this book. I love how these have been reimagined and brought to life.

I've been dropping everything and reading these on my phone the second I get them digitally from the library and it's honestly so much fun. So much nostalgia.

I loved reading the babysitters club when I was a kid and I love these graphic novels.

I loved the Babysitters Club - the books, the tv show, the movie and even the “Little Sister” books. It broke my heart when the library got rid of them, especially because they were weeded because no one was reading them anymore. Well, now adults that read them as children are coming in looking for the books for their kids and are surprised to find out that we no longer have them. The graphic novels are a perfect solution to this problem. Kids love them, probably because Raina Telgemeier wrote the first four and her books Smile, Sisters, and Ghosts are all big hits. (I loved all of her books, too.) So I was excited when I saw that a fifth BSC graphic novel was coming out. I’m not going to lie, I was also disappointed when I saw that a new author was continuing the series. However, I gave it a chance (mostly because the art was similar and Telgemeier endorsed Galligan).

Dawn and the Impossible Three was just like reading the original series. It definitely fits the modern audience while being loyal to the original story. Honestly, it made me want to go back and reread the whole series. Instead, I’ll just rewatch the movie - it’s more realistic time-wise - and recommend the graphic novels to the kids that come into the library.

Professional Review written for WASHYARG:

Dawn is one of the newest members of The Babysitter’s Club, and she’s still trying to prove her worth. For some reason, the club’s founder and president, Kristy, doesn’t seem to like her that much. To make matters worse, Dawn has started to babysit for the Barrett’s. The kids themselves are wild enough – but their mom is the real problem. In this fifth installment of the Baby-Sitter’s Club graphic novel series, cartoonist Gale Galligan gracefully takes over for Raina Telgemeier. Her art style holds its own, but won’t distract or disappoint lovers of the original four books. The story itself has surprising depth. Dawn struggles with standing up for herself when the mother of her babysitting charges is neglectful to the point of danger (at one point, Dawn almost feeds one of the kids chocolate without knowing they are allergic). Her eventual ability to face this complicated conundrum is empowering and inspiring, and makes this comic appropriate for anyone from 3rd-7th grade. A must-purchase for libraries where the rest of the series is popular.
