Not my favorite K. Webster read. Some good parts. The characters did frustrate me. This was okay. She has better books. Even though I wasn't a fan of this one I'm still a K. Webster fan. I'd suggest Whispers and the Roars. That one is my favorite.

Spunky young lady brings the big bad physical therapist to his knees.

Where to begin... Sophia is a young woman who was hurt during a freak accident. She has met Drew through her sister and brother in law. Drew is best friends with Miles. Drew feels like Sophia is playing her injury up to be babied. Once he finds out she is not be steps in to help her. Along the road to recovery they both start to fall in love. Their relationship is not for everyone, but it definitely works for them.

Ive been reading these in order according to how goodreads has them but chronologically it’s just not working. Some couples are already paired up that haven’t even happened yet which I’m finding annoying. I found Celia’s review under Ex-Rates Attraction with a revised list and I’m going to try to read in that order instead. I know these are stand-alone, but I still like reading in chronological order to avoid spoilers.

3.5 stars.

While I liked this one, it wasn't a favorite of the Taboo Treat series. And I think that was just because how the relationship between Drew and Sophia was. It was a little more S&M than I prefer to read. And S&M without super clear guidelines. It's still probably considered fairly tame in the grand scheme of things but didn't love it.

TW: There is an attempted rape/gang-rape. And also some drug use.

So Sophia got severely injured during a softball game and now has to be in physical therapy. She goes to Drew's business and it's said that she's just mean to the other physical therapists who are working with her. Not having a lot of other options Drew decides to take over her physical therapy and their romance goes from there.

I didn't completely buy that nobody decided to get a second opinion, check out Sophia's hip more,
Spoilerbecause clearly there was something else besides she's not doing her exercises or just doesn't want to do physical therapy. There was clearly an issue, Drew even mentioned/noted that this was more than not wanting to work hard to get better at the very beginning.

Also, I mentioned it was a little more S&M than I prefer to read. There was one scene that I was really cringing at, it's a moment where Sophia is mentally shutting down on Drew and he starts slapping her to break her out of it. Just how it was written really bothered me.

Overall I did like this, it wasn't my favorite of the series but I enjoyed it.

Loved it.

Older man. Younger woman. Taboo but hot. So much more than I expected. I couldn’t put Drew and Sophia down.

It was ok I guess but somewhere around halfway the ‘hero’ became a little too aggressive and I was constantly cringing. Just not for me. I also hated the ‘heroine’ and thought it was gross that she spat in his face twice. Why no one reported her to the police for constantly physically abusing his staff is beyond me. Also beyond me that anyone went that long without doing follow up tests on her and questioning why she wasn’t healing.

Another hot and fantastic taboo romance from K Webster. As you may or may not know, many of her books have characters that are intertwined with other books. This one features Sophia Rowe (Daughter of Judge Max Rowe 'Malfeasance') and Drew Hamilton (best fried of Miles Reynolds 'Ex-Rated Attraction'.) There are also cameos from a couple other known characters. It's always fun to see them. Each book is a stand alone though, so you don't need to read any of the other character's books to understand this one. As I mentioned, this is a taboo. She is still in high school and he is nearing 40. Plus he is her patient. Both of them are stubborn, tough as nails and don't take crap from anyone. She's suffering, not only physically but mentally as well, from a softball injury that changed her life forever. He's the one to heal her. There is an intense passion between them. At first it's hatred but soon it turns to heated. It is filled with sexual content, and most often it is hard and rough and almost forceful (consensual though.) While the sex scenes are rougher, they are still beautiful in their own way. (There are a couple scenes that may be triggers for some readers.) Suitable for mature readers. It's well written and reads easily and quickly.

I LOVED Crybaby. I loved how different this book was and of course the forbidden element to it. One thing I got a kick out off was how each chapter was labeled when the POVs changed.
