the way i sobbed SO MANY TIMES during this book. it’s so powerful and challenging and beautiful and everything i needed.
i love the way nicole sets the scene, there are so many nostalgic moments when reading this like when she describes the smells of things or describing the christmas decorations and lights. i loved that so much. idk why but nostalgia is just such a powerful feeling to me and this book had so many moments where i felt like i could picture it from my childhood.
even though i’m not really religious, this book does have religion tied in it so i think it would probably resonate most with those that have those beliefs. and it was really a beautiful book and love story. it isn’t necessarily preaching religion, so i think non-religious people would still enjoy it. i am so emotional and NEED MORE. joshua is a dream man and i have never loved a book couple more
