Wow! I was a BIG fan of this book! Right when I thought I had it all figured out, the plot thickened and I was left shocked.

I had some timeline confusion throughout the story until the last ~100pages. However it is fun and comfortable and I would still recommend to thriller book readers!

I probably would have given this book 4 stars had it not been a spin on Jane Eyre. Besides the exact same names of the characters in Jane Eyre, this book was nothing like it. In fact, it was an insult to Charlotte Bronte’s beloved novel as NONE of the characters were likable and the plot was so far from Bronte’s plot that this book would have been a decent suspense novel on its own and would have had some unexpected twists. Unfortunately, I was able to immediately guess the twists using basic knowledge of Jane Eyre. It still was a good read, and I did appreciate how she incorporated the old characters in a modern setting.

Misleading advertising - this is a cheap riff on Jane Eyre's plot that strips the character (the strongest element) from the original and doesn't do anything interesting. Couldn't get into it.
