THE ENDING
In most books, it feels like a cop out when the plan plays out perfectly without the main character's knowledge, but Pacat executed it perfectly. While it took a bit for me to reimmerse myself in the story (my own fault, I read an entire series in between the first and second installments of this one) the middle had me once again enthralled in the tale of Damen in Laurent. This is a book that perfectly combines plot and romance to craft something both intelligent and beautiful. With strategies that actually make sense rather than feeling like cheap victories for the heroes, every twist only had me more invested. That said, the author also did a fantastic job of further developing the characters and portraying emotion. Loved it!!

Por algún motivo el primero sentí que era DEMASIADO introductorio pero en este todo valió la pena, me dejo con el corazón llenito pero preocupado por lo que pasará en el tercero.

Damn, why did I wait so long to read this?!
This one was a little more confusing but not too much as to not understand.

I'm enthralled by this series so far and cannot wait for the final installment ---- Onto book 3!!

I have many questions for C.S. Pacat, but the main one is "Why did you bother with the sex slave mechanic?"  It's barely relevant to the story, which is in fact a geo-political action novel in disguise.  It adds a little Catholic guilt to the enemies to lovers, I guess?  But I feel like the fratricide already did that.

I enjoyed this book immensely.
