I liked how the author spun these seemingly unrelated stories together. At first I wasn't sure how two girls reporting a child sex trafficking ring and an artist who is bitter about someone not hanging his painting where he would like it had anything to do with each other. However, we do discover the link between them rather quickly, and then the story kinda gets crazy from there. Charlie is an in experienced lawyer but he's going to be on this trial that is the level of real-life Epstein. Sure, Jan. We sort of get inundated with characters and fake names after that, so I felt like you really had to concentrate to keep everyone and everything straight. I thought the first half was stronger than the 2nd half, but still overall pretty good.

Would not consider this a “thriller” rather a mystery. It’s a fun fast read nothing I’ll remember a few books from now but not bad.

Trying to be nice. Not very interesting story or characters. A lot of the courtroom stuff rang false.
