Started a bit slow, it was hard to keep reading at times. HOWEVERRRR comma towards the end.. the plot twist?? Did NOT see that coming. It’s an easy read, characters are lovable. Very glad i kept going. My jaw was on the floor at the end

NOT THE PLOT TWIST omg i genuinely didn’t see that coming for kiva or for jaren 😭 wait bc looking back it makes sm sense abt kiva saving tilda and also when she told her the story and tilda asked to hear it when she woke up bc it was abt her 😭 bye that’s actually sad ok so next book im expecting a lot of tension since kiva and jaren are effectively enemies. obviously they’re gonna get married at the end at least i hope so. the addition of the coded messages was a nice touch and i also think this is a bit of a change from a lot of fantasy books which i like bc it’s all set in the prison, ofc it won’t be in the next book but still i liked that. it’s not the kind of book that i enjoyed on a soul level like throne of glass but it was good and easy to read
